The Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka organized an online forum to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the University on 16th of November 2022. The aim of this International Buddhist Conference was to address strengths, weaknesses, and challenges of Buddhist Education in the past, present and future. A number of local and foreign researchers presented their researches and more than 70 research papers discussed at the Conference. The keynote speaker was Prof. G.A. Somaratne, a reputed Buddhist scholar, University of Hong Kong. Under the supervision of Ven. Senior Prof. Kanattegoda Saddharatana Anunayaka thera, Vice Chancellor of the BUSL, the steering committee; Senior Lecturer, Ven. Krandagolle Wijithathissa - the Conference Chair, Senior Lecturer, Ven. Watarakgoda Sumana- Chief Organizer, Senior Lecturer, Ven. Baladora Indrajothi - Joint-Secretary, Ven. Dr. Panamure Chandima - Joint-Secretary Ven. Gomila Gunalankara - Joint-Secretary made a tremendous support for the success of the conference. It was the 7th International Conference conducted by the University.
