Ven. Galwewe Wimalakhanthi studied at University of Kelaniya for his first degree and obtained B.A.(Hons) in Archaeology, 1998. Thereafter, he completed two research component master degrees (MSSc) in Archaeology and (MA) in Sinhala from faculty of graduates studies University of Kelaniya in 2009 and 2013. Ven. Galwewe Wimalakhanthi joined department in 2012 as a lecturer (probationary). He teaches archaeology, heritage management and other courses related to the above subjects for internal and external students. Ha has published several books and research articles related to the archaeology and heritage management fields. Also he is working as a researcher in chief of several archaeological projects under the university.
