Message from the Head of Department

The Department of Social Science & Comparative Studies was established in 1998 as one of the Departments of the University. When revising the Act of the University in 2012, with the establishment of faculties, the Department was located under the Faculty of Languages and Cultural Studies, the aim of which is to achieve incidental objectives of the main objectives of the University. The Department organizes degree programs to develop practical knowledge of the Students. The major role of the Department is to facilitate students with knowledge and research experience in the field of social sciences in order to study Buddhism comparatively with other disciplines.

Currently, The Department involves in graduate and postgraduate teaching and researches of the following subjects. Archaeology, Heritage Management, Library and Information Science, Psychology, Philosophy, History, Social Science and Education Science.
