. I, Ven. Welipitiye Pagngnarathana, am currently a Senior Lecturer in Buddhist Psychology of the Department of Applied Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura. I received B.A. (Honours) Degree with First Class in Psychology, from University of Sri Jayawardhanapura in 2011; MPhil Degree from University of Sri Jayawardhanapura in 2019 and M.A. Degree in Buddhist Counselling from the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya in 2019. In addition, I Successfully completed Postgraduate Diploma in counselling from University of Colombo in 2014; successfully completed Diploma in Counseling Psychology conducted by the Sri Lankan Mental Health Foundation in 2009 and successfully completed Diploma in Hypnotherapy with counselling and psychotherapy conducted by the Institute of Psychology, Counseling & Hypnotism Affiliated to the Sri Lanka Hypnotists' Association in 2010. I teach and do research on Psychology, Philosophy, Buddhist Psychology, Counselling and Buddhist Studies and also I am working as an Acting Student’s Counselor of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka Anuradhapura. I consider myself as an enthusiastic academic researcher with research skills and mastery in research and communicative languages: Sinhala, Pali and English. At my university, I teach Psychology, Buddhist Psychology and Buddhist Meditation in both Sinhala and English mediums. Before taking up my permanent Lecturer position at the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, I served as a Buddhist Counselor at Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka Anuradhapura. As an academic, by now I have published two books edited two Academic journals and written more than 30 academic articles in Sinhala and English. Furthermore, I have presented more than 15 research papers in national and international Conferences in Sinhala and English. In addition, I have participated national and international workshops as a participant and a resources person
