The General Convocation - 2017 of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka will be held on ##th July, 2017 in the ##### of the ######.
All graduands are required to bring the Admission Ticket attached herewith to attend the Convocation Ceremony, and quote the number indicated in the Admission Ticket in all communications relating to the Convocation. The Admission Ticket is required when:

No one will be allowed to enter the premises of the Senate Building on the day of the Convocation, other than the Graduands, Members of the Organizing Committee and the Members of the Academic Staff who will be participate in the Procession.
Male graduands (except Clergy) should wear the National Costume or the full Western Suit. Female graduands (except Clergy) should wear Saree/National Costume. All graduands (except Clergy) should wear the Convocation Cloak.
Female students with long hair should tie it in such a way that would not impede garlanding by the Chancellor
Note: The Convocation Procession will take place only if the weather is favorable. In case of rain, the graduands are required to occupy the seats allocated to them in the Convocation Hall by 8.00 a.m. at least for the Session I and by 2.30 p.m. for the Session II.
Cloaks will be issued to graduands as indicated below from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on the 19th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd of May, 2017.
• Please note that it is mandatory to complete and handover the annexed questionnaire on “Employability Study of Graduands 2017” in order to obtain your Cloak. If you fail to handover these documents a cloak will not be issued.Graduands | Venue |

You should handover your University Identity Card and the Student’s Record Book to the Deputy Registrar/Senior Assistant Registrar/Assistant Registrar of your Faculty/Institute and receive an acknowledgement before obtaining the cloak.
Only the authorized photographer will be permitted to take photographs inside the Convocation Hall. The photographer can be contacted for pre-bookings between from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on the 19th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd of May, 2017 at the Student Welfare Centre (WUS) of the University of Peradeniya.
The Graduates should return the Cloak and the Garland or Vijinipatha to the Student Registration Branch at Senate Building to receive their Degree Certificate, along with the clearance form obtained from the Student Services Branch indicating that he/she has no dues to the University. The time period to return the cloak & Garland or Vijinipatha will be from 12th June, 2017 to 16th June, 2017 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Graduates who have not paid their dues will not be able to collect their Degree Certificate although they return the cloak and Garland or Vijinipatha.
The Graduates are advised to collect their Degree Certificate as early as possible and if fail to collect within one year from 16th June, 2017 he/she requires to pay a sum of Rs. 1000/- as a penalty.
* Please note that the Original Degree Certificate will be issued only to the recipient of the Degree.
Graduates are allowed to keep the Cloak, Garland/Vijinipatha for a period of two weeks after the Convocation. After this period, the recipient of the Degree should return the same to the Student Registration Branch as mentioned in No. 12 above. Those who fail to return them during the time period given above requires to pay a fine for the delay according to the Finance Committee decisions as follows;
In case of loss of Cloak and Garland/Vijinipatha, the Graduate should inform the same to the Deputy Registrar, Student Registration Branch immediately. However, in such case, the Graduate should pay the replacement charges as follows according to the Financial Regulations 105(a);
